LSC and Styrene-Free resins Features

These resins are characterized by the absence or very low presence of Styrene (LSC) within them. This result is achieved through a careful selection of diluent monomers used as substitutes for styrene.

Thanks to the reduced or zero styrene content, these resins have a reduced odor, also due to the alternative monomers used, which are high-boiling and consequently more pleasant for the user.

LSC and Styrene Free Resins Applications

  • Lamination on polystyrene molds: The low amount of styrene allows their use in specific applications such as lamination on polystyrene models, as an excessive styrene content in the resin would cause the dissolution of the model itself.
  • Relining: These types of resins, thanks to the high-boiling monomers present and the reduced styrene content, allow for the repair of pipelines, especially in densely populated areas, in a less impactful way for those nearby.
  • Production of fillers: The adhesion of these resins makes them an excellent solution for the creation of various types of fillers."
